Excellent design, beautifully made. : DELTA 36-136 Universal Miter Saw Stand

I purchased this stand to go with my Hitachi 10" slider. Out of the box it seemed like a great product. Easy set-up/breakdown, and I liked the way the supports didn't have legs to the ground to allow quick adjustment. After about a month of daily use on the job the locking mechanism has started to fail. The little lever you pull to unlock the system to fold the stand has stopped working. I removed the plastic cover over the mechanism, and found it to be very poorly designed. It seemed like it was thrown together as an afterthought, with odd springs and too many moving parts. Since folding the stand up is one of the most important parts of the stand, this is a deal killer. I'm taking it back, and going to give the Ridgid stand a try.

Just got this machine set up and running. It took about one hour to assemble and set on a mobile base. WOW !!!!!!!! I'm really impressed. This is not your average import,,, this is real quality. Its really heavy,, but if a person has a chain puller and a lifting point,, one person can manage.

Good saw : DEWALT DW744XRS 10-inch Job Site Table Saw with Rolling Stand

I bought this saw for a recent job and it performed excellently. The saw has a great fence that works flawlessly and was easy to adjust. People seem to complain that it is out of alignment but it only takes 15 seconds to adjust which was no big problem. The saw has great power for ripping 2x's and plastic trim. Used it with a delta dado set and was a little underpowered but it was what I expected. The depth of adjustment works very nice so does the bevel adjustments. The riving knife is really nicely designed so that it can be adjusted very easily. The guard looks nice and seems sturdy but I don't use it. In a nutshell it is very comparable to a contractors saw but smaller.

The stand is also very nice. Large tires, nice handle and it serves its purpose. It is really easily to put together and folds up very nicely.

Coming from a framer it is a very nice saw that comes in handy more than you would think. Highly recommended and add a freud 24 tooth thin rip blade and it is amazing. Leave Nu questions in the comment box and ill get back to very quickly

Everybody should be taking lessons on this portable stand! : DEWALT DW7440RS Rolling Saw Stand

It's about time some body came up with a truly "portable" table saw stand. This stand is so portable, it takes the back breaking task, (for one person), to load/unload a so called portable table saw in and out of a pickup or van by themself!!! I have to admit, I'm not much of a Dewalt fan, but my hat is certainly off to whom ever got this setup right. Talk about knockin one out of the park! I'm a full time carpenter, 7 days a week, who loads and unloads tools out of pickups and or cargo trailers every day, and this stand just made my life so much better. I can only hope that all you people doing this kind of work, will take a good hard look at this stand. You'll thank yourself for getting one. I can't think of one bad thing to say about this stand other than,what took you so long?! p.s. this technology would rock if used to redesign the DW723 miter saw stand!
