Do Not Buy!! : DELTA 50-284 Mobile Machine Base Extension (For 52-Inch Unifence)

When I purchased my Xacta saw from a local shop he said, "oh you need the Delta 50-289 base, I have been using those for years." Well Jet decided to make this cabinet saw larger than the previous models. I am not knocking the saw and it is a thing of charm and runs perfectly.

Anyway, so I get home with the Delta 50-289 and it does not fit. After a call to Jet I confirmed that the saw is bigger. What I ended up ordering was a Delta 50-277 base and the 50-284 extension. The base is about an inch and half bigger all the way around, but works great.

The postponement is designed to use the wheel from the 50-277, but the location of the lifter does not work all that well as there is too much flex. I ended up putting the lifter and wheel back on 50-277 in the former spot and it works great. I had to shim the legs for the saw as this postponement is not quite long enough. I am happy with it and it is much great than the ones that Jet sells or the Htc brand.
